After about 15 minutes, she poured the soup into two bowls and gave him a slice of toast with butter.
"Like... most high-stakes run," she ruminated, listing them off on her fingers. "Most I've ever sworn during a run. Most level changes per mile. Most 'ow-*squee!*-that-hurt' moments. Most bullets being shot at me at once. Best soup I've ever made."
She leaned her head back. "It's been a big day," she conceded. "I bet you've probably broken some records today too."
She rolled her eyes. "You're not supposed to tell me that. You're supposed to say that you've had millions of soups and this is the best one you've ever had."
