She hesitated outside the planning room, her hand hovering to knock. There was a silence before she dropped her hand, sighing and pulling away, going into her room and closing the door.
She looked conflicted, but when he spoke, her shoulders sagged and she stepped forward, wrapping her arms around his torso and burying her face in his shoulder.
She closed her eyes, nodding slightly. "I missed you. I'm sorry about going off without talking to you."
She shook her head, opening her eyes and looking up at him. "I won't. I know it must have been scary because I could have jeopardized the mission. It won't happen again."
She hesitated, her gaze flickering away from him. "I don't think you think I'm capable enough," she replied. "I don't think you believe that I can get the job done, and you utilize me as a last-ditch effort. Why else would you hesitate to throw me in?"
