I am sick and tired of people treating the September 11th attacks like the worst event in American, if not human, history. GET OVER IT.

That was a callous thing to say. 9/11 was a tragedy. It wasn't the greatest tragedy in American history, nor human history, but that's not an excuse to be insensitive. And it's downright mean to call Americans stupid and hypocritical just because you don't agree with something a portion of Americans think. I'm American, and I'm offended at you stereotyping me.

Sounds like somebody doesn't care about 9/11 at all.

But really this should be a serious thread about all those people who died. We should care for the mistake that happened.
(Even though it was like thirteen years ago.)

All this jokes and stuff is making it worse.

We should care about the people who died with love, respect, and tolerance.

I realize that most people on this site aren't old enough to remember the 9/11 attacks, or how they affected America.
I, however, am.

I realize that I'm probably just shouting at the wall at this point, but I'm going to ask everybody to either take this subject seriously, or refrain from posting in this thread.
9/11 is not a joke.

For the sake of the people that died, for the sake of the people that lost loved ones, and for the sake of everybody that was affected by the attacks, SHOW SOME DAMNED RESPECT.

 

Or we could lock this thread and do something else with our time that isn't so depressing. Either way, you're right. The attacks themselves are no laughing matter.

I never said I didn't think the attacks were tragic, and I actually take back most of what I said. However, I still believe we need to put the attacks behind us, while still honoring the lives that were lost. I mean, come on, we managed to put the Kennedy assassination behind us, we can do the same for 9/11.
