Stallion did a quick 1, 2 and spawned about 10 bits and put them into his satchel. His voice was soft now, he led the way making sure Shade noticed, "Lets go, I'll get you a cup of coffee and a cupcake.".
Shade followed him, head down still, now trying to blend in. "Tell nopony... I don't want them to get the wrong idea..."
Regal had a happy tone in his voice, questionably smug. "Haha, no problem I understand I'm not the ideal person to be seen with." He had a cheery grin on his face. "Hows your arm?".
He looked at the burned patch. "Meh. I've been through worse." He looked at a ring of scars around his wing.
"Woah there! Looks like someone had a bath of razors, how'd y'get that one?". The sun was pounding in the fresh breeze as they walked along the stone path.
"Wing transplant. A few years back, I smashed it into a pulp after dropping too hard into a pit. It was literally a pulp, too. Blood and bone everywhere..."He said, wincing a bit.
"Well that must have sucked." Finally the two had approached Sugarcube Corner. "After you" Regal emmited.
They arrived to the counter quickly, Regal asked politely; "Good afternoon madam, may I enjoy 2 cups of your finest coffee and cupcakes?" He placed the required amount of bits in an orderly pile. To pass the time Regal inquired, "So, don't see you around often, tell me a bit about yourself."
Shade looked at him. "I'm Stardust Shade. There's not too much to say. I was born in Manehattan... I guess that's one thing."
"Ah, there yah go, Manehattan huh? Come one more, any hobbies? Favorite subjects? Cute girls at our school?". Regal was persistent, just then, a waitress asked if they could go sit at a table.
Shade walked to a nearby table and sat down. "Well, I play bass, fly, collect Wonderbolts memerobalia. My favorite subject is Equestria History. As for girls... Well..."
Regal followed, "well? Well what? What about that Rarity huh?" There drinks and food were brought to there table.
He shrugged. "She's okay... But I like Rainbow Dash. I can never get a chance to talk to her though."
"Rainbow Dash? Ofcourse you won't get a chance to talk to her dummy! You need to make one! I gotta plan". Regal's face lit up with that.
"Oh that's cool and all, it's just I thought you would dig an idea of you having a change with Rainbow Dash, but who am I, I've only been reading my whole life." He said this sarcastically looking at his hoofs.
"Alright get this, I got a buddy who could fix me up with a potion with such an effect you could beat Rainbow Dash in a race. This will certainly get you some attention from her. Sound good?".
