He was a prominent member who was permabanned before my time, and has rejoined using a new account since the regime change. Tyro knows who he is, and is letting him stick around. Did I get that right, @Are You Cereal?
I've never had more than one account at a time that I could post with, so I wouldn't say I have multiple accounts. More or less right. I have been around under other names, but there I got banned quickly after people figured out who I was. Large Socrates was probably the most successful one.
Basically, GreyOne and I disagreed with a few of the more interesting decisions made by management at the time. In particular, a few of those differences related to some of the rules. As it turns out, creative interpretation of those rules was frowned upon. Incidentally, one of these disagreements was that whereas at the time "serious" discussions were discouraged, Grey and I, along with a few other people, were advocating for a serious discussion forum. However, the proposal was rejected because "people would not take it seriously". Large Socrates was made around the time the opposite decision was made, to check out the result. Hence the name,

There's more to it than I said, but describing the politics of the situation and all the shenanigans that facilitated it would be so far off topic it would hit the antarctic coast. Rarit's not even the most high profile of amusing ban story. ePONY's beats all others as far as I'm concerned, and best of all is documented on his tumblr in the saltiest of rants. The context and follow up of GreyOne's is on a whole 'nother level, but that story is best told by the man himself. Me being included really wouldn't even make sense, seeing as I have neither an OC nor any useful symbol (anymore).
Of these people, less than a handful still read the forum. Rest in spaghetti, never forgetti. IIRC the kamina shades were because I swapped my avatar to bukkit walrus with the shades after being kaminalestia for like a year. If only I recognized the wonders of Smith back then...
