Max felt something almost like hope through the pain as she heard hoofstomps outside the room. She readied her pistol again, just in case the hooves didn't belong to Ace...
Ace ace finally made it to the floor to see a pony standing there with a flamethrower about to burn the closet to a crisp (No...) he thought as he pulled his sniper and shot him in the head ((From her perspective)) The pony hit the gound with a thud after the shot rang out and blood started to pool under the door into the closet
Max was almost too blinded by the pain to notice the blood at this point; the med-x was completely gone now, and she was biting her lip to avoid screaming, tears roling down her face. The 10mm pistol was starting to look real friendly...
Then the door opened and ace came in "Are you alright?" He asked frantically as he looked into her eyes
"Of corse I came back" he said smiling before handing her some med x and hydra "I didn't want you getting hurt wail I ran to the hospital
"Thank you," Max whispered, before using the last of her telekinetic strength to jab the med-x into her flank, and the hydra into her leg. The pain receded once more, and she closed her eyes and smiled at the relief, not watching as her leg began to heal itself; the bone regrowing and knitting back together, and the muscles writhing and crawling to cover them, before her coat finally closed up, leaving the leg almost as good as new. The only sign of any injury was a slight greyish darkening of the area affected.
Max sighed with relief and opened her eyes to look at Ace. "Me too. Thank you for coming back for me; most ponies would have just left me..." She unwrapped the bandages and removed the splint, then tried flexing her leg. It was a bit stiff, but it worked like it was meant to. She laughed happily and gave Ace a hug.
Aces heart fluttered as she hugged him He was a bit shocked at first then he embraced her with a hug of his own "I would never do that" he said into her ear as they laid there hugging
Max smiled and let him go. "You're a good pony, Ace." She sat down again, and carried on flexing her leg. "So, I guess you got to the hospital then?" She asked, keen to put the whole event behind them. "What did you find in there? Was there anything much left?"
Ace explained what he found skipping the part about the tag till the end "And....I'm not sure if it means anything but I got you a way into the hospital" he then pulled out the tag and handed it to her
"W-Where did you get this?" She asked, shocked. She hadn't seen that face for twenty years, but she could recognise her own last name...
"Dead?" Max asked, the joy of Ace's return and her leg being healed fading somewhat. "I... I suppose I knew, really, but seeing this..." She stared to cry again, looking at the picture of her long-lost mother.
Ace pulled her in hugging her "Sshh sshh sshh, it's ok.....she did't feel any pain.....and she's in a better place" (Who was she to her) he thought as he petted her head trying to calm her down
Max hugged back, sobbing into Ace's coat. "I-I didn't even realize, I mean... I must have forgotten..." She said, between sobs. "I knew it felt familiar... but... I didn't know it was mother's hospital..."
(great i pillaged the corps of her mother) "im sorry.....but just think, shes protecting you" he told her "without that card youll get shot by the hospitals security"
Max sniffed and wiped her eyes. "Security?" She looked at the ID again; she and her mother did look very much alike, and their magical signatures should be similar enough to fool most machines... "Okay. We shouldn't stay here any longer; it isn't safe. Lets head to the hospital," She said, still sitting next to Ace.
