Max kept one hoof around Jay, and used the other to support the book she floated over, so that she could read while she waited for Jay to wake up.
Max put down her book and smiled back. "Morning, Jay," She said, warmly, "Are you still not talking to me? It's okay if you're not, I understand... but I just want to know if you're alright."
Max nodded a little sadly. "Okay, well... whenever you're ready..." She was glad Jay wasn't ignoring her completely, but she still didn't like the silent treatment, even if she did deserve it. "We have to go to my Stable to try and find a working heating talisman," She explained, not knowing how much Ace had told her. "The trip will take a few days, so get together anything you might need. If you need any help, come and find me, otherwise, I'll meet you and Ace in the canteen for breakfast."
She nodded and got off the bed Giving max a clear sight of jays pantie covered plot before she trotted out to her room
Max blushed and looked away; she wanted to look after Jay, give her all the things she had been denied growing up in the wasteland, but a part of her still found the young mare attractive... She shook her head, trying to shake the thoughts, and headed to the bathroom to have a shower.
Ace was walking from the basement He had set the building to go mostly dormant until they got back Jay was putting on her armored clothes and packing her other ones
Max stepped out of the shower and dried herself off, then wriggled back into her jumpsuit and put on her coat. Her saddlebags were still packed from their last trip, so after checking the supplies were still okay, she put them on too, and headed down to the canteen. As she sat in the elevator, she remembered that Ace had been working on her rifle, and made a mental note to ask him for it back, as well as any appropriate ammo they may have recovered from Jay's old home.
Ace was sitting with some pancakes for all of them in the cafeteria A few saddle bags and guns sitting next to him as he waited for them
Max smiled as she entered the canteen and saw him. "Hey~" She said, kissing his cheek as she sat next to him, "Do you have my rifle?"
Max took it and checked out the improvements he'd made, before pouring herself a cup of tea and waiting with him for Jay.
"Hey," Max said, smiling to her warmly. She wanted to ask about the pistol, but she knew Jay wouldn't talk to her to explain about it. Instead she just pushed out a chair at their table, and piled some pancakes on a plate for her, before doing the same for herself.
"What kind if gun is that jay?" Ace asked as he got his own pancakes and started eating "It's a pistol that's shoots 5.56 mm ammo.....I just have been calling it that gun" she said sitting down and started eating "Was this with your stuff when we went to go get it?" Ace asked and receiving a nod in response
Max ate her pancakes quietly, just happy to hear Jay's voice. When she'd finished, she checked the bags Ace had brought for .308 ammo, only having one round left for her rifle. She really needed some smaller, less powerful weapon again too, like the 10mm pistol she'd given to Jay. "Do you have anything else I might be able to use there?" Max asked Ace, looking at the assortment of guns he had with him.
Ace set the weapons on the table next to there's then took his sniper, his sword, and his 44 mag off There was a 10 mm, two laser rifles, a sniper without the scope A hunting shotgun, and a few combat knives "Take your pick" he told her
"Hmm..." Max rubbed her chin as she looked at the weapons. "Well, this could be useful..." She said, taking the cleanest-looking combat knife, "And... is there some way we can make this shorter?" She asked, pointing at the hunting shotgun.
