Soir vanished, and appeared right behind his assailant. "Pitiful. You should really study your targets. I'm a master of illusion. Did you really think you could deceive me that easily?" Soir drew a knife, and carved many runes in the ground at an alarming pace. Suddenly, Silent was trapped in a cage of solid light which slowly sapped his energy. He cast a sleep spell on Silent, and walked off to place the stave. "I'll let you sit there for a day or two to mull things over."
"Hemin utebzu rizuki malin." Silent whispered and two ponies made of shadows and four undead manticores were summoned "Heh, well I'm a master at necromancy and can not only summon the undead but demons as well to serve me at any time and don't bother with that staff it won't work on those manticores, the souls inbudded into them are far resiliant to any magic you can throw." he laughed as his crow landed right beside his cage to watch the fight.
"Who said anything about magic?" Soir drew his estoc, and began combat with the demons. One tried to slash him, but he rolled to the side and jabbed it, causing it to explode. He then used a spell to calm a demon. He then switched to a long sword, and did a round slash, defeating the rest of the undead. "Interfere with me one more time, and you get this. Soir electrocuted the cage, causing immense pain to Silent, before trotting to the Crystal Heart.
"Hyui tuzi rampai." he whispered as he left his physical body and land himsefl into the body of a mare 'wh-what's happening.' Silent then pushed the mare out of her body and gained full control of it "Rizi shman lurex." he whispered another spell and he felt his now controled body swell and grow huge. He quickly rolled over to where the crystal heart was and yelled out in great pai "Self-e-exploding spell!!!" and then proceeded to explode into a massive explosion destroying not only the crystal heart but the body he controled and then he ruturned to his old body and smiled.
Soir witnessed the explosion. He was appalled by the act. He contacted Levi telepathically. "Prince, I'm going to need your help over at the Crystal Empire." He cut off the link, and then approached Silent. "What the hell did you do?! That mare had a family! She was innocent!" Soir cast an illusion on Silent, making him believe he was in immense pain.
Silent winced in pain and chuckly darkly "I-is anypony innocent really? no n-nopony is innocent not me, not you and by dear sweet Nightmare Moon not Celestia." he exclaimed in pain as he closed his eyes tight " You expect a student of the dark arts to take pity apon his victims?" he laughed madly and said "I enjoyed every minute off the misery of other."
Soir released Silent from the cage, and immobilized him. Soir summoned many swords above Silent. "How about I strike you down right now?!" Soir stopped. "No... I know the resolve of the light. I will spare you. Go back to your masters. Soir drew a teleporting circle around Silent, and sent him back to Cloudsdale.
Silent found himself back in Cloudsdale and he flew back into his warehouse and sat down to concintrate on his telepathily conntact his mistress "Um...lady Spectra? can you hear me?"
Nightmare Glitch called Spitfire to the throne room, and within 7 minutes, she was there. "What are your orders, my king and queen?" Spitfire said smugly, proud of herself for assembling her Shadowbolts into a secret police force. "We have a job for you," said Nightmare Spectra, "Capture and bring to me Twilight Sparkle and her little friends. I have a personal score to settle." "Yes, my lord and lady," replied Spitfire, as she trotted off for her Shadowbolt HQ. "In the meantime, we shall prepare an invasion of Canterlot, as it has no protectors." "Brilliant," replied Nightmare Glitch, "They won't know what hit them." Suddenly, Silent's message was recieved. "Well?" asked Nightmare Spectra, "Have you performed your task?" "I have good news and bad news. The goods news is that the Crystal Empire is completely defensless but the bad news is the target manage to best my best spells but don't worry. He'll be dead soon enough." Silent exclaimed with calmness in his voice.

Leviathan was unresponsive. He couldn't plant the stave without his help, so he decided to plant the other staves. In the timespan of an our, he planted two of the ten staves in The Badlands and Appleloosa, both being fueled by Subterrean Heat and the friendship between buffalo and ponies, respectively. He checked his map. The marked locations would form a star inside a pentagon when traced.
"As you wish my lady." Silent said as he severed the connection. he walked over to the operating table and planted both hooves on it. he took a deep breath continued with his work., he laid the body of strong stallion onto the table "I usually use the soul of the deceased or another soul hm....what should happen when I put a demon into the vessel." the crow squaked and he flew back on Silents head "I know Tom but look at it this way....you can kill a regular undead but a demon possessed undead....that's like a mere peasent tring to fight a god." He said as he grabbed his books and practiced on one body as he multi-tasked it with growing The ladies undead army.

After Mage had finished warning all of his friends and teachers, he heard something that wasn't exactly the greatest news. "Apparently Celestia and her adoptive son have already gone to fight the threat" stated one of Mage's teachers. "WHAT?! But that means Canterlot is defenseless doesn't it?!" realized Mage "Correct. I'm sure you remember, but, this is a magical training school. There is an emergency protocol that immediately goes into effect the moment the city is left unguarded. It simply states that all of those in magical schools are to take positions all around the city in case of attack." informed another one of Mage's teacher. Mage began shaking like a leaf now. One of Mage's close friends noticed and approached him. "Calm down. This is what we've been training for. Besides, have you forgotten that you're pretty much the best student here? I hate to admit that myself but it's the truth. Take a deep breath. Let's do what we've been trained to do" suggested Mage's friend. Mage did as was suggested. It worked. Not only that, but he became instantly determined to protect the city at all costs. The order was given, and Mage took his position, which, ironically, was right at the main entrance to the city. Mage was still nervous, as the two swords he had summoned were shaking a little, but, he was determined to ensure that the city stayed safe and that no pony was hurt.
