Nightmares In The Night

Lightning took Darky to a bed and laid him in there, then he left so he could rest.

 

A shadow pony was walking with parts in his hooves and bumps into Lightning by accident.

 

"Gah!" Lightning said as he felt him, he then turned to him, "Hey, are you alright. And what do you have there?" He said as he help him get everything together

 

"Some parts to repair Boiler 3 as it toke a beating." He replied

 

"Bloiler 3? Well, care if I help?" He asked him.

 

"Not at all. Boiler 3 is the Main boiler for turbine 2 and with it down we cant reach full speed." He said

 

"Makes sense. Alright, lead the way." He replied

 

He toke him deep below the ship to where Boiler 3 was located. It was gigantic about the size of a tank and smoke was pouring from it while Shadow ponies messed with wires and plates of metal "Here we are"

 

"It's... quite big." Lightning said a little impressed. He then started to look around. "Have you found the problem?"

 

"WE don't Know but we think something is blocking the Water intake as we brink water from the ocean in and boil it to produce steam which turns the turbine." He explained

 

Lightning started thinking. "It might be the case. We need to see inside it to properly do something. Can you open it?" He asked

 

"We don't know as we are not the original crew of the ship." He said worridly

 

"Then, what happened to then? And how are we supposed to fix it in that case?" He replied

 

"1st officer silver was a member of the original crew. The rest retired." He said

 

"Bring him. If he was part of the original, then he will be of great help." He replied

 

The shadow pony left to get him.

 

Lightning stayed there, looking around for anything that might be usefull.

 

Another coaldust cobered shadow engineer came up to him and said "Can you lend me a hoof?"
