Snow shook her head, "Sadly, the only true way to prevent it is entirely mental, and you can't control your mid while your asleep now can you? No, you can't. Now, I think we might be able to find a way to draw out Black Night and defeat her like I defeated Dark's evil self, but in the meantime, we will need to find a way to make sure Black Night doesn't get away and go on some killing spree. And also, I don't think that we will be able to make Snow Light as long as Dark holds Black Night, the power would be simply too great."
Grey Mane saw a light and out of pure curiosity ran towards it. She could not have prepared for what she saw. Her body, laying on the ground. Worse still, she felt that no-pony wanted to help. She tried to interact with herself. "WAKE UP!!! WAKE UP!!!" She began trying to shake the body, just to fall past it. "WAke.... Up...." She let out a single tear. The moment the tear touched the ground the light envenloped her aswell. Her physical body woke up, once more, screaming. "Wha- where- Wh- WHAT!?!?!?!" She jumped around manically before running of into the woods crying and screaming.
Kleft was startled by the sudden screaming and turned to see Grey Mane charging into the woods. "What the hay!?" He exclaimed, and he galloped in after her. After about ten seconds of running he realized he lost her. "That was definately odd..." he thought aloud. "I'm sure she'll come back."
Silver had just uncovered his ears when another bout of hysterical screaming sent him reeling. I am so going to have a headache for the rest of the day, some small part of his brain thought. But that was the least of his worries, as when he finally dared to look up, a sight even more shocking than the recent sounds awaited him. Dark, who seemed to be a little fuzzy around the edges, was also covered in blood. Since she seemed to be disturbed, along with everypony else around her, but not screaming, she must have been the first one to have screamed. Then, there was Grey Mane, who was running in a frankly insane fashion towards the edge of the clearing, screaming all the way there. Today was not going to be a good day.
(Its only for a brief meeting which... Well.. you'll see ) Grey mane continued to run before bumping into somepony. She looked up to see a familiar sight. A Pink Pegasus with a black mane. It was her old friend, Perfect Melody. "Melody!" She began to smile. "I have not seen you in ages!" "Shhhh" Melody put her hoof up against Grey Mane. "I have something I need to tell you." She nodded to a normal looking tree. Grey Mane was going to ask why but before she could the tree became a statue of another familiar face. It was her own. "This day... Its wierd...." Melody began to chuckle. "By beggining I trust you got my 'Message'?" She continued laughing. Grey was confused. Does this mean Melody sent her into a state of, whatever it was she was sent into? She had to find out!
Silver took a deep breath and stood up. Marching over to Dark, he was filled in on their theory about Black Night. He was slightly sickened by what the blood coating the rear half of Dark insinuated, but he kept in mind that she hadn't been in control of herself at the time. He briefly considered offering to keep her enveloped in a barrier during the night, but then he remembered how powerful both Dark and Black were, and he knew he wouldn't be able to contain them.
Snow suddenly got an idea, "I remember back when Dark was evil and we were one, I managed to defeat her evilness by seperating her from me and defeating her evil inside her mind. I think we will have to do the same here, if you guys wish to try to distract her while we are defeating her mentally. It will have to be a combined assault and take place in the middle of the day when Black Night is at her weakest. But even then it would be extremely difficult. So I will only do it if you guys wish."
"Well, we aren't going to get a better chance. If she decides to suddenly take over and we're all next to her, not expecting anything, we'll be slaughtered. Plus, we will have the advantage of daylight, whereas if we wait, she might take over during the next night. I think it's best if we take her on as soon as possible." Silver wouldn't be able to sleep at all if Dark was constantly at risk of being transformed into a psycotic, sadistic maniac, so he figured it was best to get this over with.
"Well, in summary, we Found out that Black Night is still inside Dark and probably will take over her body every night, and now we need to draw Black Night out of Dark's body and defeat her." Snow said. "Now, we are going to need everypony's help, and before I release Night, I will cat an aura detection spell on y'all to allow you to see Black Night if she uses the fog again alright? Is everypony ready?"
Lightning stretched a bit and pulled out her gun. She made sure the revolver was loaded before spinning the revolving barrel. "Let's get this done and over with."
Kleft shook his head. "Last time this happened, I missed the splitting. Shouldn't we devise an actual strategy this time, perhaps some way to detain her the moment she is separated? I'm not sure what to do considering I missed it the first time." Kleft looked back to the forest in which Grey Mane had ran. "Also, does anypony know what happened to Grey Mane? She just flipped her flank and bolted out of here. She hasn't been affected by Black Night, has she?"
"Kleft, this time, there is no big city to destroy, no Plague to fight, we are the only ponies for miles around, she isn't going to leave." Snow reassured Kleft, "I will begin very shortly, do get ready everypony, this is honing to be the fight of your life!"
Silver, standing next to Kleft, said to him: "As much as I agree with you on the whole strategy thing, if there's one thing I know, it's that whenever you make a strategy, it usually goes wrong. Sometimes worse than if you hadn't formed a strategy at all. Besides, we do have a general strategy: Kill Black Night. Very simple. Not easy, but simple." He began the task of forming a barrier around himself, taking his time and concentrating to make sure it was the paragon of all magical barriers.
Kleft followed Silver's lead and conjured his own shield. "If we are to do this now, I have yet to do anything to lower my concentration. No need for meditating. Shall we begin, or are more preparations in order?"
