Lightning layed on the ground like a lifeless rag doll. On the outside, she was bloody and bruised, but in her mind, she was dreaming of her life before the End-war.
Shield was feeling a bit dizzy. Pain shot through his broken leg. "Euh...no...no she's not..." he groaned in response to Grey Mane. He wanted to sit down, but every time he tried, his back leg hurt so much that he had to stop and stand again. "Oh man... I think... that I don't want to do that again. Ever..." His eyelids fluttered, but he stayed upright, determined to not pass out. Which reminded him. They needed medical attention, and as far as he knew, nopony in their little band had that kind of healing skill. His mind instantly decided that they needed to go to a hospital, except there were no hospitals. There was...nowhere. And if they didn't get some help now... well, it wasn't going to end well. Resisting his body's urges to simply fall to the ground and go to sleep, he stood there and tried to think, but could come up with no good solution. Ugh, his tired mind thought. Well, maybe I'll be more clear headed after I rest for a bit... After surveying his surroundings to make sure there were no further detectable dangers, he sunk forward onto his face, then flopped sideways onto his flank, and slowly fell asleep.
Snow Light finally got up, she looked around to see the entire group passed out and extremely injured. Her horn lit up and a soft white glow surrounded all of them. They drifted into the clearing and Snow light set up blankets to set them down on. After laying them down, she focused her spell and slowly the wounds healed, and the knock out became a deep sleep. "There, much better, now Balance has been restored." She said to herself, she looked to the sky, "At least for now."
Even under influence of the spell, Kleft forced himself to stay awake. "So, Snow..." he said groggily as the spell fought for control over him. "What's to happen now? Is she finally gone? For real this time?" He joined her in staring at the sky. The sun beat down on him hard, and he conjured a polarized shield that allowed him to see the stars, but omitted any sunlight. His face went neutral as his emotions acted up. "Sometimes...I just miss what I've lost, y'know?" He said sadly. "I can still remember their faces. Chancellor Mathiss, Master Farengate, Chancellor Starfire..." he looked at the ground. "Even...little...Shining..." the spell took him over. Exhausted, he collapsed and his polarized shield shattered. The pieces floated over him and sparkled before vanishing completely. His breathing slowed, and Kleft fell into a deep sleep.
Lightning was soon relieved of her pain. But as soon as the pain was gone, so we're her nice dreams. Her nice, simple life in ponyville soon turned to death and destruction. She was soon scared awake, screaming.
Snow Light continued to stare into the sky as she speedsters into Dark and Snow. "So what now Snow, we've finally defeated her, the last evil element from the Gates. Our last true nemesis." Dark said to Snow. "Dark, that wasn't the end of it, that was merely the beginning. We did not kill her for good, just like last time, she will reform to torment us more. The only way to defeat and kill her for good is to destroy her, body and soul, simutanoeuly. But sadly, just about every other alicorn powerful enough for the job is missing. We make but one of the Powers, a never ending struggle for Balance and Power. Now, let's stay up so we can make sure nothing happens to our friends.
Grey Mane regained sight to see what had happened. "Here... Snow..." She took of one of her amulets and put it on Snow. "Its called the Necrolet. Its a healers best friend. Looks like you'll need it more than me..." She got a splitting headache, followed by a heat wave surging through her body. Rage Fang, was near. "I must go for a... bit..." She looked over to see another clearing not too far. "I'll meet you over there later?" and she staggered off, not running over towards the clearing.

Lightning stood up, feeling hurt all over. She walked to the pond and dunked her head in the water to wash some of the blood off her face. She took her head out of the water and looked at her own reflection. Her right eye was black and swollen, she had scratches all over her face, and a small trickle of blood still ran down her face. "I'm a mess..." She said to herself.
Grey Mane heard one of the Ponies moan about pain. It was Lightning. She walked up to him and gave him a ring on a necklace. "Put this on." She smiled. "It is an arifact of great healing." She walked off to the other clearing to find and hopefully, destroy, Rage Fang.

Snow and Dark had been conversing for awhile while everypony took stock of themselves, "Are you sure you want to do this Snow?" Dark asked her. "Yes, I have duties to attend to in the E.R.A.'s, you could come and join if you wish." Snow responded. "Nah, I'm good, I'll stay with this group. I'm hoping that I can trasform them into a new royal guard, or just some survival group while Equestria recovers." "Ok then Dark. I must go." Snow turned to the group, "I must go!" and a flash of smoke concealed her leave, "I guess she can't reveal what direction she's going." Dark guessed.
Grey Mane turned around to see the Pony she had just helped leave. "Has been a pleasure!" She shouted, hoping Snow caught ear of it.
The necklace began to lessen Lightning's pain. She stood up just as Snow disappeared, "Where is she going?" She asked.
"She has business with the E.R.A.'s, now, I would suggest once everypony is ready, we get on the move. We don't want to stay in one place for very long." Dark responded plainly, as if they should have already know.
Kleft woke with a start, tears streaming from his eyes. "Chancellor! No! You can't let them-" He stopped as his face returned to his neutral state. Frustrated he got up and inspected his leg. It was red and raw from the battle, but the break had been healed enough for him to put pressure on it. Kleft sighed and wandered to his tent to grab something to eat. As he rummaged through his belongings, he noticed an odd shining object mixed in. "I don't remember having anything of that color..." he thought aloud. He picked it up and inspected it. The object was a golden-gilded book of a smaller size than any normal book he had ever seen. Intrigued, he opened it to find that it was completely blank. Confused, he flipped the book and looked at the title, only there was none. Only a well-carved picture of a pegasus. "What are you..." he said. He picked up a bag and put it on his back, along with the book inside. He wandered outside to see if the others had anything to eat.
Silver woke up, slowly. He heard dark say 'get on the move', and quickly stumbled to his feet, still a little groggy. "Waiuh, whuh?" he slurred. "Wherr' we goin'?" He cast his bleary eyes about for some food; he was unusually hungry.
Dark decided to check her saddlebags for some food, but found a wrapped parcel inside. When Dark took it out, she did several pre-open checks to try to get an idea of what it was; it was hefty and the size of a large book, on the front of the wrapping it said: Dark, I found this book in my time in the E.R.A. It is some kind of prophecy book, it is written in a language that you should find familiar. Dark looked around to make sure nopony was watching then ripped of the wrapping, it was a plain brown book on the outside and on the inside, it was written entirely of an ancient language that Dark recognized entirely. Dark slid the book back into her bag deciding to read later, "So, what do y'all want to do now?"
"I say we try and find other survivors and maybe some supplies in Canterlot," Lightning said, "Or what's left of Canterlot..."
