Grey Mane spent the night thinking of how she would reclaim her lost treasure. Rage Fang. She was allways awake thanks to another of her trinckets (Keep that in mind legion) She noticed that shield was on edge. She walked up to him. "You Ok?" She said. "You seem a little stressed."
Kleft drifted out of his tent and yawned. He had spent too much time meditating and had only gotten two hours of sleep. The only reason he was up now was all the yelling. "What exactly *yawn* is all this ruckus about..." he said sleepily. When he saw Dark was not with them, he asked "So where is Dark anyways? She didn't leave or anything, did she?"
Grey Mane felt wierd. She had never been nice before. What was infulencing this? Was it being around these Ponies? Or was it losing? She had to find out! "Excuse me but I never happened to get your name did I?" She looked at the Pony who just got out of the tent. They did'nt exactly meet under nice curcumstances did they.
Snow looked worriedly around, "It's strange, I'm used to her dissappearing due to her service in the guard and all, but this is strange." Snow looked to the sky and saw a small black streak on the horizon coming straight for them. It got faster and faster then finally, a massive black circle spread out from it, but no noise. The streak flew right overhead and it took several seconds before they heard a massive bang. Snow blinked, "I think that was Dark! I knew she could fly fast, but not THAT fast!" ( Thanks in part to the absorption of Black Bight)
The boom shocked Grey Mane a little, even for a warrior such as herself. "WAH!" She screeched. "Who's there?!" She looked scared. She had'nt heard a bang like that since she was kicked and lost her prescious treasure, Rage Fang. "If your the pony who attacked me show your-" She blacked out, falling to the ground. An amulet around her neck began to emit a light glow.
Snow pointed to ground next to the pond, "Last time I saw her for sure was when I went to bed, she was looking into the pond as if looking at something." Dark finally managed to come to a halt, she was surprised she even got close to pulling that off, "Well, Snow and the rest should have been able to see that." she said to herself, and began flying in slow, ever expanding circles to find the clearing.
The bang made Lightning jump in the air and she began to hover over the ground, "alrighty, then!" she began, "looks like we know where she is!"
Dark spotted the small clearing and dived in. She landed right in the middle of the encampment, obviously proud of herself, "What did you guys think of that!" She said. But Snow stared worriedly at Dark, "Uh Dark, why are you covered in blood?". "What are you talking about Snow? Don't be so...." she dropped off after noticing her legs were red with blood, and not from wounds on herself, and Dark let loose a very ear splitting scream of surprise and shock.
Grey Mane physically was still passed out. But mentally she roamed. She heard the Pony called Dark scream and she tried to call out to help. She was ignored and time itself seemed to stop. She walked up to the Ponies but tripped. She flew straight into 'Snow' but instead of knocking into the Pony she passed straight through her. She screamed herself. She was trapped, alone, and scared.
(Yeesh, I leave for a few hours...) Silver Shield was not a morning pony. So, when he woke up with a slimy amphibian on his face, was practically sent into shock from a loud, gunshot-like noise, and then had to deal with Dark's screaming, it was a little much for him. He lay down, closed his eyes, and put his hooves on his head. Shutting out the world was a good way to deal with stressful mornings.
Kleft remained completely neutral throughout the entire event, meaning he obviously felt some great sort of emotion. In this case, he felt complete and total fear. 'That blood...' he spectated. "Everypony, GET AWAY FROM HER!" he suddenly shouted. Most of the ponies simply looked at him, confused. He teleported closer to Dark and conjured a shield to push the other ponies away. Most of them shouted in protest, but he was too strong with adrenaline for them to do anything. He evaporated the shield and looked towards Dark. "That's not your blood," he continued. "Your blood has magical properties, most likely because you are immortal. This is mortal pony blood. You've been on a murdering streak!" Kleft's accusation shocked him, but there was a possibility that this could mean trouble.
Dark wa horrified, "I have not killed any pony! The last thing I remember is looking into the pond, and then I feel asleep. When I woke I found myself in the middle of the forest surrounded by a ring of knocked down trees!"
Lightning already had her revolver out, but she wasn't pointing it at anypony, "Well, Dark. Something happened, and just suddenly having blood on your hooves isn't possible."
Snow walked towards Dark, "Dark, tell us what really happened when you fought Black Night, I think she might have done something to you." Dark sighed and recounted in detail of what happened in the battle, ending with her absorption of Black Night. Snow eyes suddenly turned purple and she looked at Dark, "Eeyup, her aura agrees with the story, but it's strange, I would think that Black's aura would be reglegated to a small area in your body, but it hasen't. It's become one with your own Dark, you didn't just take Black Night in, you melded with her as well!"
Kleft put his hoof on his head like he had a huge headache. "I'm sorry, what now? Are you saying that Black Night is finally gone or something, and now we have her power in the form of Dark?"
"No, Black Night is still here. Once, a long time ago, Dark and I shared the same body, Dark was pretty evil back then, anyways, we would fight for control of the body all the time. I think this might be similar circumstances, only Black Night has decided that as when Dark sleeps she is at her most vulnerable for take over, and it just so happens that to be at night, when Black is at her most powerful." Snow said.
Kleft's face darkened. The description she had just given was the powers of a Lunar Pony, but that was impossible, all the lunar ponies except himself, Kinks, and Shining Star were dead or missing, and even then he had no idea where the other two were. If only he had some sort of book or base to do research on these ponies. He had nothing at the moment, so he would just have to go along with it. "So what exactly can we do about this dilemma? We can't have her rampaging every time we go to sleep. Is there some sort of meditational practices or spells you two know that can keep Black Night subdued every night?"
