I like 'em both. Can't say I have a favorite, though I did chose Vinyl in my avatar. I mean c'mon, we have the same tail.
If I were to pick just based on music type then I'd be 60-vinyl 40-octavia. If it were on character design 90-vinyl 10-octavia If it's personality, then I got nothing. They don't have anything besides fanon and I'm not counting that. Can anyone guess why the vinyl design is like so much. It's not like I got bored and gave my OC her a mane like her or anything.
LIES! you need no musical skill to make BAD dubstep, also who says she only makes dubstep. you do know that dubstep is a very small genre that is actually a sub-genre of a sub-genre (Electronica -> UK Garage -> 2Step) combined with Dub (meaning remix) there are many many many sub-genres under electronica. To the untrained ear they will all be stereotyped as dubstep but have many clear differences. Hardstyle has the kicks while hardcore does not. UK House and French house are VERY different. then you have your techno, electro, electronic break-beat, or any other type of electronic with a breakdown (which consists of harder bass and beats (most of the time))which are very often confused with dubstep. Getting back to the topic of actual dubstep, it is still divided into more categories including the smooth 70 BPM wobble and the 140 BPM hard hitting style most are familiar with like Skrillex which is super hard hitting with multiple drops. Everyone has their own personal taste in music and to say that one genre takes no talent to make is a ridiculous assumption (its not necessarily "easy" just because its made on a computer). Personally I love Electronica and can't enjoy classical, classic rock, piano, etc as its just too slow and boring for me. ok, music lesson over.
I'd have to go for Octavia. She has the class of a pony who knows what she likes and the look of a pony who knows they're good at what they do. I've always liked classical music and I myself use a fair amount of strings in my music. Plus, there's awesome artwork like this. Though the pair together do look damn good.
As ponies, I don't prefer one over the other. However, I would say I prefer electronic music to classical. I think that Vinyl Scratch represents Electronic music as a whole, instead of Dubstep/DnB only. However, I just love the two genres of music put together. When you add some strings to an electronic track, it's amazing.
hard choice. they r each better than eachother in their own ways. but if i hav to choose i would pic vinyl because of her pure awesomeness
Octavia is the best but that is because I enjoy classical music far more then dubstep/drum and bass? Octavia is also extremely class and much like me she would be the serious one between the two. I very much like the idea of Octavia and Vinyl Scratch being friends and perhaps even more. They are so different from each other which would make the situation very amusing. (I base my thoughts of Octavia and Vinyl Scratch on the fanfiction The Vinyl Scratch Tapes) Winner: Octavia
