"She was very kind and dignified, but carried herself in a very humble manner. She was very mild mannered and even tempered."
"She sounds like a wonderful mare." said Rosy gently. "It must have been lovely to have that sort of parental influence."
"I believe it's what saved me. She tamed me, so to speak, as I was confused and unable to cobtrol my emotions at the time!"
"Right, but wasn't it difficult for her to know how to control you?" asked Rosy, her chin on her hooves.
"Not really," he admitted, "I felt less afraid. I'm not sure how she did it, I think it was because she loved me."
"She sounds like she was a truly remarkable being." A voice came over the loudspeaker once again. "We apologize for the previous inconvenience. Ponies are free to walk around the train once more. Thank you, and good night." Rosy looked up at the sudden noise, and then turned to Frozen. "Would you like to explore?"
Rosy took the hoof shyly, and they left the compartment. "Do you think we could reach the caboose?" she asked curiously.
"Perhaps. But, I mean," she said, shrugging, "I've never been on a train before. If you know of more compelling places..."
"Alright then," said Rosy, taking them to the very back of the train. She opened a large door, and was greeted by rain. Grinning, she stepped out, letting go of Frozen's hoof to allow him to choose if he would follow. The rain dampened her mane instantly, and the wind blew it gently around her face.
Frozen smiled as he followed after her, "You knew it was raining?" he asked. The rain that hit him, froze and rolled off of him into a tiny pile of ice crystals.
"I guessed." she said, shrugging. "It was raining earlier, so I hoped it had stayed." She held to the railing, and watched as the tracks disappeared. The wind's gust grew, and her mane blew back. She turned to Frozen, and laughed slightly at the ice droplets.
He smiled at her, slipping a hoof around her shoulder as they shared the rainy night, gazing at the tracks disappearing behind them.
Rosy stiffened slightly as Frozen's hoof fell across her shoulders, but relaxed quickly, and gently laid her head on Frozen's shoulder.
As the night deepened, the rain gradually stopped, and the wind stopped its powerful gusts. They stood there for a while longer, until the old loudspeaker stuttered to life. "Just a reminder to all ponies that curfew begins in half an hour. Anypony caught not abiding will be escorted back to their compartments. Thank you, and good night." (Wow, I'm really using the loudspeaker as a plot device! )
