She shrugged slightly, and reached a hoof over. "Well, I'm here. I'll be here if you need me." she said quietly.
"I'm very glad too." she said, nodding slightly and tugging on a lock of hair. "Although, I am slightly worried. I'm pretty sure Ed's not going to stop looking very quickly. He's very proud, and he wouldn't be able to tell anyone that I left him."
She thought for a moment, and then nodded slowly. "Alright." she said. A small smile crossed her face. "I mean, you're my raft, right? I can't stay afloat by myself."
She shrugged. "If it weren't for you, I would still be with Ed. For me, you are extremely important." She pulled the covers up so that they covered re shoulders. "We should probably get some sleep. I'd expect it to be a big day tomorrow."
Frozen blushed a bit. He leaned over and kissed her forehead, leaving a tingly cool sensation where his lips touched her "Goodnight Rosy," he whispered before curling up to sleep.
Rosy froze when he kissed her forehead, and a blush spilled onto her cheeks. She cleared her throat. "Good night, Frozen," she said, pulling her covers up to hide her smile.
Frozen tossed and turned in his sleep, as he often did, unable to find a comfortable position and plagued by nightmares. When he awoke, he found Rosy still sleeping soundly and saw that the sun had yet to rise. He slipped out of bed and headed over to the window. In the distance he could see the sillouette of ponyville, still about ten miles out. Wad this really wise, he wondered. He suffered from frequent nightmares and was drawing close to ponyville, near where the princess of dreams resided. Would his nightmares act as the beacon that ultimately uncovered his existence? He was willing to risk it, in the hope the castle of the twin sisters held the answers he sought. He wanted to be mortal, now more than ever..
Rosy woke to sounds of hooves on the wooden floor and she saw Frozen's silhouette at the window. "Frozen?" she asked, blearily. "Frozen, are you okay?"
"Yes, I just had a nightmare," he said distantly, his mind still wrapped up in his thoughts, "I am sorry, I did not mean to wake you Rosy."
She stood up, and walked over to him. "I woke you yesterday; it only seems fair." She placed a hoof on his shoulder. "Would you like to talk about it?"
He leaned against her hoof, "Have you ever had feelings for somepony, but you were scared to explore them because you were afraid both of you would get hurt? Yet, at the same time, that pony seemed like the percect one for you?"
He smiled slightly, but it faded almost as quickly as it appeared, "I can't be with you, even though I wish to," he said, his eyes tearing up as he looked back at the window, "You'll only grow old and die, then i'll be alone again.."
Rosy swallowed the sudden lump in her throat, and nodded. "Alright.. I understand," she said, her voice cracking slightly as she tried to remain stoic.
