"It's not your fault. She can manage," she said, briskly. She turned to him, lying her head on his shoulder. "Where would you like to go today?"
His other hoof idly stroked her mane, "the library can wait until tomorrow, let's make today about you. It's probably been some time since anypony asked what you wanted."
She kissed his cheek, and thought carefully for a moment. "Well, perhaps we should just explore the town for now. I mean, neither of us are very acquainted with it yet, and we'll end up somewhere exciting, I'm sure"
He lightly nudged his cheek against hers, "Of course my dear, that's s splendid idea!" he smiled and hopped up.
She stood, and and stretched slightly, and then trotted over the the door. She held it open, and gestured with her head. "Shall we go?" she asked.
He blushed a bit, at her presumed impression of himself, "Am I really that cheesy?" he asked, with a laugh, as he walked through.
Rosy grinned. "No, you're fine. I'm just joking." They emerged into the morning sun, and Rosy squinted under the sudden light. Her eyes adjusted quickly, and she noticed a small crowd surrounding a small pink pony, playing multiple instruments at once.
"I think she melded many together. That looks like a trumpet, and an accordion, and a tuba. Maybe some other things too," said Rosy with interest. "Would you like to take a closer look?"
"Couldn't hurt," Frozen said, as he led her over a little closer to the pink Mare, but not too close.
The pink mare grinned largely and proudly, and ended her concert with a loud blast on the tuba. "Thank you ponies! I have to go feed Gummy now, but I'll be back later!" she exclaimed, as the ponies all applauded emphatically. As the crowd began to leave, the pony began to shiver, with her mane and tail going haywire. "My sense is tingling," she said, barely loud enough for Frozen and Rosy to head. "That's not good."
"What on earth is she talking about?" Frozen whispered, taking a step backwards. Unfortunately, he tripped over an idle cart and landed face-first into a puddle from the previous night's rain.
Rosy quickly ran over to him, and helped him out of the puddle. She reached into her saddlebag, and pulled out a cloak, which she used to gently wipe off the mud. Meanwhile, Pinkie Pie was watching, her eyes narrowing in suspicion.
"Of course," she said, placing the muddied cloak back in her bag. Pinkie Pie edged closer. "I haven't seen you guys in Ponyville before," she said, suspicion evident in her voice.
Frozen's cold blood already turned to ice. He had heard of this mare, for he was in canterlot when the royal wedding was botched. He knew she was friend to the princess of magic.
Rosy gave a sweet smile to the mare. "We're visiting from the Northwest," she said. "We've heard so much about this place." The mare looked slightly mollified. "Well, it's good to meet you. What are your names? It's important that I meet everyone in Ponyville!"
Pinkie smiled, and then shivered throughout her entire body. "That's really weird. It's getting stronger. Well, anyway, my name is Pinkie Pie!" She shivered yet again, more emphatically this time. "Well, it was lovely to meet you, Ms. Pie, but we must be on our way. Perhaps we will see you later?" Rosy said, as politely as she could. "Oh, yes! Come by Sugarcube Corner! I'd love to see you!"
