His smile faded ever so slightly, "I am not causing you discomfort am I?" he asked, thinking his magic had gotten away from him.
She laughed, shaking her head. "No, Frozen, I just mean that I lose my train of thought when I kiss you. You are perfect. Do not worry."
Rosy's small frame fit perfectly next to Frozen, and she quickly drifted off to sleep, her head resting by his collarbone.
Rosy slept well, until dawn. Then, she was struck. The world was on fire. The world was on fire, and the ground was made of broken glass, and Rosy knew there was a safe place, but she could.. Not.. Get there. It would have been frustrating if it wasn't so terrifying. A horribly familiar laugh echoed through her bones, and she stopped, trying to maintain, trying to continue. But, she couldn't keep going, and the safe place was farther away, and the laugh was getting closer and closer and... Rosy woke, her heart beating like a caged bird.
Frozen awoke when she stirred. When he saw she was shaking, he slipped comforting hooves around her, "Rosy..Rosy?"
Rosy realized she was in a defensive position, with her hoofs across her face and her body deeply curled up, so she released it, and buried her head in his shoulder. "I'm sorry," she whispered. "I'm sorry I woke you." She was trembling heavily, oh so heavily, and her heart would not calm down. This will not stand, she told herself. Get ahold of yourself.
Her breathing slowed, and she leaned her head against his chest. She was still trembling, but she was calmer, and now she just felt ashamed. "I'm sorry, Frozen," she said.
"I know you are.." Rosy murmured, as she embraced him. She hid her head in his fur, and he could feel her pulse in the close proximity. It was rapid, but not much more than usual.
