Frozen headed back to his room in silence, content that Ed would be receiving justice. He only wished now that he could sit with Rosy and talk to her. "One week," he mused.
"Dear Frozen," the letter began. "I miss you. It's been a little scary here, but I know you'll soon be back, and we can go live our lives peacefully. Is the princess everything you'd imagined she'd be? She seemed a little stern when she was visiting, but I think that's probably for show. After all, she can't treat suspicious characters lightly. I hope she is less harsh as your week goes on. I'd hate to think of you feeling contained. That's why you left at your birthplace, after all. They told me you went to see Ed's trial. You have to tell me all about it, when you can. I haven't gotten the verdict, but I'm deadly curious. Apparently, I went into cardiac shock shortly after you left. They've sent a doctor's note, so I didn't really cushion the news because I assume you already know. I don't really remember it, but I do seem to recall the feeling of pain. It was awful, but I was quite lucky. There doesn't seem to be any lasting affects, and they just want to make sure it won't happen again, so they're going to do a quick examination on Friday. Hopefully, by the time I see you on Sunday, there will be no problems with me. You will be free, undoubtedly. I think it's important to remember that you really don't have anything to be worried about; you are, after all, a peaceful windigo. You don't have anything to hide. Please try not to worry, my darling. You are doing fine, I'm sure. The nurse is telling me I have to sleep. She says it's also last call for mail for today, so I need to stop writing and put this in an envelope. I love you, Frozen. I can't wait to see you. All my love, Rosy P.S- Can you tell I don't write letters often?"
Frozen smiled a bit and set the letter aside. He grabbed aome stationery and began to write: Dear beloved, I am glad you are well, as I have been very worried about your welfare, I must admit. I long to see you again, and was wondering if you would like to hold the wedding on saturday? The princess is nice enough, if a bit stiff and formal, and the princess Twilight defended me as a witness during the trial. As for Ed, he was found guilty and sentenced to one year's incarceration. By the time he is released, we'll have been husband and wife for nearly a year. Speaking of which, the princess has agreed to make you immortal, so that I may maintain my immortality and be her advisor/diplomat to Chineigh. I love you, and look forward to an eternity of marriage with you. Yours with love, Frozen Heart. He laid the pen down, with a sigh, and slipped the letter through the slot. He then laid down and took a nap until he was summoned for dinner.
"I'm quite sorry to wake you, but you are being summoned for dinner," he said, clearing his throat. "I'll be waiting to escort you."
"Alright," Frozen said. He got up, cleaned himself up, and dressed in a fine silk robe and cloak, both dark blue with gold embroidery. He then opened the door, "I'm ready to go."
"You look fancy." Aerik said, as they walked down the hallway. He took one sharp turn, and then another. "The dining hall is just through these doors. Are you ready?"
"I am," he said,. He had slways wondered what the princess of the night was like. He was about to finally find out. He followed Aerik into the dining hall.
The princesses were just sitting down when they entered. 'Your majesties.." Aerik said, bowing his head. "Mr. Frozen Heart." Celestia gave him a small smile, but Luna looked at Frozen with cold, dark eyes.
Frozen bowed his head gently, "your majesties." Luna's expression concerned him, a bit, but he smiled at her all the same and took a seat across from them.
Celestia must have noticed the tension, so she cleared her throat. "So, Frozen, have you heard anything from Rosy?"
"Yes," he said, "she is well. She says that she should be released by saturday at the latest. She asked about the trial, which i tols her about. We hope to be married when she arrives."
"I see.." Celestia said. She didn't really want to meet this mare, but she supposed it was bound to happen at some point. Luna cleared her throat. "So, Mr. Heart... Why exactly did you leave your windigo home?"
