Frozen nodded, "I can see why she would hate one such as I," he said. He rose slowly, I will go and speak with her."
"Probably best not to," Celestia said, "She can be somewhat volatile with her powers when she is angry. Let me talk to her later. She'll be fine."
"I am accustomed to such," he said, "we are bogeymen in children's fables, told to make them behave. Sone of us truly are monsters and it never surprises me when ponies treat me as such. No, princess, what surprises me is when ponies don't treat me that way."
"Excluding you and your sister, two in my lifetime. My fiance and a mare bamed Lotus, who was the only thing I had that was closest to being a mother to me."
"I see," Celestia said. "Where did you meet her?" (I'm thinking that instead of a week, we do, like, three days? The whole role play so far has been a week, and I'm pretty sure the Celestia thing will get monotonous rather soon. Unless you have a story in mind?)
(Three days is fine! Unexpected speedy recovery perhaps? The only thing I have planned is some conflict and resolution between him and Luna!) "She was an herbalist in Chineigh," he said, "she took me in and taught me her trade, and gave me hope that my species did not have to define what I am."
(I just realized how bossy that sounded; I'm sorry! Maybe it's just that Celestia lets him go early?) The waiters began to come in, cleaning the plates away. "Yes; by the way, about Chineigh, if you are to help with the relations, I believe we may have to disclose what you are to certain members of the government. If you are comfortable, of course."
(It's okay, dont' be sorry! That's perfectly fine!) "Yes," he said, "I believe I will. I am done with hiding. I intend to openly be a windigo from now on, no matter the consequence.."
Celestia nodded approvingly, and then stood up. "I must go talk to my sister. I hope you enjoyed your meal. Aerik will take you back to your room when you are ready, but you can go almost anywhere in the castle you wish. Aerik will know which places are not permitted. Thank you, and good night, Frozen."
"Goodnight your highness," he said gently. When she had left, he decided to go for an evening stroll in the moonlit palace gardens. The moon shone brightly down, through the trees, as he wandered the castle grounds.
Aerik followed behind Frozen, watching him carefully. The garden was full of splendor. Beds of daffodils, and peonies and poppies spread across the ground. A rose arbor lay in the distance, and the world was quiet, save for the splashing of water from a nearby fountain.
Frozen sat upon the bench near the fountain and gazed up at the moon again. He determined that, before this night had ended, he would sit with Luna and talk.
Luna, as it happened, was in the gardens as well. She knew her sister would be looking for her, so, childishly, she hid. "It's not childish," she told herself. "You just don't want to talk right now."
"No. Nothing. Why would I be in a state of discomfort?" She stopped herself, and shook her head. "You are going to have to forgive me, Mr. Heart. I am not predisposed to like the company of your kind." (So sorry for the slow response time! Since summer started, I have taken over more shifts.)
