"You mean.. you were royalty?" asked Rosy, intrigued. "It is very valiant of you, but then.. how do you survive?"
"I was," he said, "no longer. I was a prince. I survive by living off of scraps of misery. It's easier for a windigo to find enough food to sustain itself, it only becomes difficult in large groups."
"Wow." said Rosy, thinking. "That's extremely... brave." she said. :I don't know anyone who could do that."
Rosy smiled. "You had the opportunity to run away too. You didn't, and neither will I." she said gently, tugging on a lock of her mane.
Frozen smiled a bit, and for a few brief moments his eyes became milky white, with two silver pupils. He didn't even notice the change that came over him.
"Hm?" He said. Frozen looked up and saw his reflection in the mirror on the other side of the room,"Oh, yes..my eyes correct? This is my natural color. I'm sorry, I feel a bit at ease around you.."
Rosy relaxed and smiled. "Oh, okay. Good. I was just worried that something was wrong." She thought to herself quietly for a few moments. "When were you planning on leaving?" she asked.
"Tonight now," he said, "Lest we have to deal with your former beau. I wouldn't allow any harm to befall you, but i'd like to avoid confrontation if possible."
Rosy blushed, her cheeks matching her namesake. "Thank you." she said, smiling. She thought for a moment. "I will need to be home to get my things, though." she said, biting her lip in thought. "Perhaps I can get close enough to use my magic, but not close enough to actually be inside." (I need to go to my orchestra rehearsal really soon. Will you be on in a couple hours?)
(On and off. I'll be able to answer back here and there most of the night. I go to bed pretty late because I work 2nd shift on the days I work lol) "I could help with that," he suggested, "I can become invisible if I wish."
(Oh, okay! I have a concert later, but I have a couple hours.) "Hmm.." pondered Rosy, chewing on her lower lip. "I don't have much to grab; just my cloak and saddlebag. I packed a bag a long time ago, just in case. It sounds silly, but.." she said, shaking her head.
(Oh, cool, so you're in an orchestra?) "It doesn't sound silly," he said, "Not with somepony like that.."
(Yeah. We're playing the Beethoven's 5th Symphony Finale. I play viola. Do you play any instrument?) "Well, I need it now. So I guess it wasn't that useless.." she said, smiling vaguely. "Perhaps I should start walking over there."
(I played trombone when I was in high school, but that was quite a long time ago. I am out of practice and wasn't exactly the best player back then lol) Frozen rose, "I'll come with you then," he offered.
"You're sure?" asked Rosy, raising an eyebrow. (I often think that if I were to play a brass instrument, I might play trombone. It is said to be the easiest transition for string players. How long did you play?)
"It would put my mind at ease knowing you are safe," he assured her. (3 years junior high, 4 high school. I was never super good at it, but I gave it an honest try! I still have the poor beat up old thing..)
