"No," he said decisively, his brown hair ruffled from the sleep. "I figured it would be a good surprise."
The academy where Alyssa stayed was large. Very large. As they approached, she would see the marble pillars and the flags, but it didn't really click until she saw the large sign that read "Deerborne Academy" and Ferris gestured. "This is it."
He sighed a little, draping his arm over her shoulder. "Yeah. Best school I could find," he told her. "It's killing me, though."
He glanced at his watch before looking down at her, kissing her forehead. "I think she'll be in the music building right now. Let's go."
He took her hand and they walked through the campus. The students had school uniforms, and they were all chattering eagerly as they walked past them. None of them seemed to give Fleur and Ferris a second glance.
They approached the music building and as they entered, they would hear piano music that was soft and lilting and haunting. Ferris laughed a little, following the sound. “That’s her.”
They approached a practice room and there was a young woman, focusing on her playing. She had curly blonde hair and was wearing the school uniform. She had grey eyes that would be familiar to Fleur. She glanced up and paused before her whole face lit up. “Ferris!” He laughed, approaching her, but she ran over to him, jumping into his arms.
