"That's.." she almost looked hurt at the mention of his name. "He doesn't know me. He doesn't care for me. He'd rather stay here, the way he is now."
"Don't have him bring it," she said. "I.. It hurts to see him like that. It just makes me feel worse."
She shook her head slowly. "Stop. I know your tactic is to make me worry and feel bad so you can have Alyona."
"No she wouldn't," she said. "You didn't love her enough to stop being cruel. You didn't then and you won't now. She will never make the mistake of loving again. Not actually."
He tilted his head sharply before turning towards the door. “We have ways around that, Fleur. Anybody can be happy with a little bit of persuasion.”
