Alyssa glared at him. “We were out, Romero,” she said angrily. “We didn’t need you anymore.” “Yes, well, Ferris stole something of mine,” he replied. “A necklace that belonged to someone very dear to me.”
"I'm the one who took it," she said roughly. "Because it belongs to me now. My grandmother gave it to me." She squinted at him. "Even when I offered it to you to leave them alone you declined."
She gestured to Alyssa and Ferris. "Then let them go! You only wanted them for the necklace and now you've got better."
He sighed before turning to Alyssa. “Well! We need to get you a room, my rebellious girl.” Alyssa scowled at him. “I’m not yours.” He sighed before gesturing. “Ferris will get you a spare room. Goodnight, all of you.”
Ferris shepherded Alyssa our who was seething. “He did this kind of thing all the time when we lived her,” she said bitterly. “He’s evil.”
“He’s not bad, Alyssa,” Ferris said eagerly. “He gave me a second chance.” “Ferris, I love you, but you’re gonna have to shut up for a bit.”
“His magic has always been evil,” she said bitterly. “When we were kids, and Ferris and him fought, he used to go in and remove a memory about our parents.”
She laughed a little. “Projection. When Ferris and I worked here, it used to be helpful in deception, but now I’ve found that it is really fitting for engineering. It helps with homework all the time.”
“It was mostly what we used to make a quick getaway,” she responded. “You can’t touch it or anything.”
