"Just what you said.. I think he will like your ideas better." she sighed slowly, opening the door to leave.
They got down to the first floor, and they would both see Ferris outside, who was sitting on the edge of the canal across the street from the apartments, his legs dangling over and his shoulders hunched.
She nodded, going outside and sitting next to him. They talked for seconds and Fleur would see Alyssa winced before standing up and offering a hand to him. He took it and stood and they entered the lobby.
Fleur looked a little panicked, but started upstairs with an anxious frown, opening the door for them.
They got up back to their place and Ferris’ hands were in his pockets and he immediately went into the bathroom, going to take a shower. Alyssa exhaled. “That was... I didn’t talk to him about it because that was terrible timing, Fleur.”
“Apparently, he tried to come back in an hour ago. He couldn’t remember what room you were in - Romero’s magic does that to you - and so he asked the front desk and they laughed at him and told him that they said they ‘doubted that Ms. Solovyova wanted him anywhere near her apartment’.”
Fleur's eyes widened, and she stormed out of the apartment, the door shutting loudly behind her. Clearly this news angered her.
Fleur returned a bit later, gently opening the door and closing it with a soft click as she got inside, leaning against it as she pursed her lips.
