Her eyes widened slightly as she saw him, and she slowly grinned and stood up with excitement once the crowd could no longer see her.
It was very simple. There was a small red heart followed by his handwriting. "I miss you. You were wonderful. I love you. xx -F"
She relaxed, taking the note and tucking it into the pocket of her hung up jacket, going to finish getting ready.
The month had passed. Ferris had texted her that morning, the first one in 30 days, and he asked her to meet him for lunch.
She had just finished getting ready, and slipped on her coat and grabbed her bag, heading out to meet him excitedly.
The cafe he had her meet him at was in the center of downtown, tucked in between a flower shop and a bookstore. When she entered, he was sitting in a booth, his head on his hand as he sketched in a small notebook. He had gotten a haircut, but that didn't stop the slight stubble on his chin. He was wearing a white button-up and dark pants, and seemed relaxed, but focused.
He looked up suddenly and his whole face brightened and he straightened up. "You're here!" he said, standing up quickly. "Hi!"
He hugged her back, wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her. "God, I'm so happy you're here," he said quietly. "I'm so happy to see you, Fleur, I missed you so much."
She looked up at him, her hand on his jaw. There was a bright grin on her face. "I really missed you," she said again. "See? It went by fast, sorta."
She rolled her eyes, burying her face in his shoulder and taking in his familiar smell. "God, I love you. How were you?"
"It was okay," he said with a small huff. "It was lonely, but I got into a routine, which isn't something I've done in a long time. How about you? Your first show was wonderful."
