Her hair fell in curls over her shoulders, and she fixed her makeup before going out onto the landing nervously.
He was in the living room in a button up shirt and dress pants, his coat folded over his arm. He glanced up at her and his whole expression changed from a smirk to one of genuine adoration. “Jesus, Fleur. You look... you look so beautiful.”
She grinned, coming down the stairs to him and putting an arm around his waist. "I'd kiss your cheek, but I dont want to get lipstick on you."
He rolled his eyes but took her hands. “You really do look beautiful, Fleur “ he told her quietly. He looked down at their hands, rubbing her knuckles with his thumb. “I’m so lucky.”
He nodded, glancing over his shoulder for a moment before looking down at her. “I’ve been working on something. Wanna see?”
He slipped his arm around her waist before looking at her. “Eventually, I’d like to be able to fly,” he told her fondly. “But for now, this is what I’ve learned.” The world around them went dark for a moment before the light came back and they were standing in the lobby of a restaurant.
