(Zoop!) The next week was chaotic. With the theft happening in the theater, the shows for the week were canceled in order to give Fleur a chance to recollect herself. About three days after the theft, she was walking through the north end of town as dusk settled around the city. It allowed her to clear her head. As she walked, she passed by Oddfellows. Oddfellows was a bar that hadn't really taken off, and instead became a refuge for seedy individuals and unreliable trading. As she passed the grimy window, she saw someone in the back who looked strangely familiar, curly brown hair over his striking grey eyes.
Fleur stopped a moment after she passed the window, standing still for a moment before backtracking and peering in suspiciously, squinting at the boy.
The boy was drinking something and frowning at a piece of paper. It was indisputable, however, that he was the boy who stole her necklace and as his gaze flickered up to meet hers, she would see him smirk slightly.
As she entered, he began walking towards the back of the bar, pushing aside a curtain and disappearing from view, his hands in his pockets.
He was looking into an older jukebox, sliding in a quarter and glancing over his shoulder at her, raising one eyebrow. "You're not supposed to be back here," he said conversationally as the music began to play, leaning back against the machine.
"I don't know what you're talking about," he said smoothly, raising one eyebrow. "What necklace?" He patted her head before heading towards the door. "You seem confused. Take a minute and think for a while. I'm sure you'll figure it out."
She watched him incredulously, but followed him. "This is.. so ridiculous. Give me back my necklace now or else I'm calling the cops."
"I genuinely don't know what you're talking about, Princess," he said smoothly. "But I wish you luck in finding whatever you're looking for."
He wrenched his arm back incredibly quickly, turning to look at her. "I'm going to make this pretty simple, Princess," he said calmly. "Cut your losses. I don't know what you're talking about, but I think it's in your best interest to forget about this and leave me alone. You're not going to get anything here. Go back to your palace and find another necklace. You'll be fine."
"That one was different and you know it," she said sharply. "Otherwise you would've stolen something much easier."
“A simple necklace with an enchantment? Please. If I wanted something more, I would have gotten something more.” He waved her off, turning to leave. “You’re not worth my time.”
She decided to put her foot down, folding her arms. "Don't take another step. Give me my necklace back."
