Fleur glanced back to Ferris, hesitating slightly before clearing her throat. "I'm looking for something of mine that I think you may have.. It's a necklace."
Her gaze shifted to Ferris and she paused before her eyes widened with recognition. "Hey... I know you!" Ferris frowned nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm sure you don't." "Yeah! You're the guy that..." She paused before clarity crossed her features. "Oh. Did he think I was going to double-cross him?"
He glanced down at her for a moment. "Well, you might not've heard, but I delivered," the girl said, standing up. "I repaid him. I don't want any trouble." "I'm not with him," Ferris replied quietly. "But I'm assuming you are? Is that where the necklace went?" She squinted, crossing her arms. "Either you're with him, or you're really stupid to be back here." "I should have figured he was where this would end," Ferris muttered. "When did you give it to him?" "Last night. You can ask him; he should have called off his dogs." Ferris sighed, running his hands through his hair. "Ugh. Okay."
He looked down at her before looking back at the pink-haired girl. "Thanks for your help," he said flatly, gesturing for Fleur to leave with him. As they walked away, he exhaled slowly. "How valuable is this necklace?"
She looked up at him uncertainly. "Well.. It's valuable to, personally.. But on top of that is pretty old and has an enchantment, so.. I'm not sure."
He squinted at her, rubbing his temple as if he had an oncoming headache. "Okay, well..." He exhaled, looking conflicted. "There's a guy. A kinda... mob boss I guess you could call him. He runs most of the crime in town. The guy who came after me last night was a lackey of this person. He... doesn't like me."
He waved a hand in the air. "Irrelevant. But from the sounds of things, he wanted your necklace. For some reason. And he has it now."
"Well, we gotta sneak in," he said matter-of-factly. "But I'm just... I'm really not looking forward to it."
