Collin squinted at her before looking back up at Ferris, who seemed annoyed at Fleur. "She's not from around here, is she?" Collin asked, raising an eyebrow. Ferris shook his head. "Nah. Upper end." Collin sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "The necklace... you mean the one you sold me a few days ago?" Ferris nodded, resting his hand against the wall. "That'd be the one." "I sold that the same night," he said flatly. "It went to some guy... Harris, I think. Caelen Harris. Down the river." Ferris looked intrigued, straightening up. "Really? Just like that?" Collin exhaled. "I figure that I'll give you a fighting chance. Clearly you've got some baggage." He turned to address Fleur. "A word to the wise, missy. Don't run around advertising that you have money to spare for information."
He nodded and closed the window. The conversation, it seemed, was over. Ferris appeared deep in thought, but he glanced down at Fleur, raising one eyebrow. "I think he liked you."
She looked tired, her eyes on the ground before looking back up at him. "Let's just.. Get to where we need to be."
She groaned, resting her hands over her face before dropping them. "Yes. I can do that. And stop calling me that."
They walked for a bit, before approaching an apartment building in the upper end. It seemed rather nice, judging simply from the outside. They went in and up an elevator, and they walked before stopping at a door. ".. You're not allowed to judge me."
She glowered at him, unlocking the door. "I'm ignoring you." She opened the door and entered. It was.. rather large. The main room was minimalistic, and the farthest wall was basically glass leading onto a deck with a view. The sitting area and dance floor stood between them and that wall. She went in with a small frown, and passed through a small archway into the other section of the place, which was a kitchen and hallway. She went to a door, and opened it a crack. "You're not allowed in my room." She slipped in, leaving him alone temporarily.
