He squinted at the door before looking around, going to move to look at the dance floor. He was forced to stop though, and groaned, waiting just outside her room.
He would he able to see one of the walls connecting to the dance floor. The was a barre beside it, and a few worn pointe shoes hung up.
Only a moment later she opened the door again, looking over at him with a frown. "That wasn't very long."
“Well, I’m not allowed in your room, and I’m not allowed to be far away from you. So it was long for me.”
She noticed him, but didn't say anything. There was only a small frown on her face. She hesitated, locking the door behind her before they went to leave. It looked like she was about to say something, but stopped.
He started heading for the elevator and pushed the button, his lips tight. “I know you want to say something,” he said after a moment.
"I wanted to apologize," she said, though her voice was hard, "or thank you, or something. But.. I figured you were only doing this because I'm making you, so.."
"In the end I didn't," she said, raising an eyebrow. "You're the one that stole from me in the first place. Neither of us would be in this mess."
"Yeah, but.. Obviously you knew I had it. Specifically that. There was other jewelry in the preparation room that would have been much easier to take."
She laughed slightly, but her brows were furrowed. "It was important to me.. But I guess I see your point."
