He watched her leave and his smile dropped as the door closed. He frowned, looking down at his hands, before exhaling and standing up. "Don't be stupid," he muttered to himself, going over to the window for fresh air.
She waited outside his door for a moment, looking incredibly uncertain before going to her room to get changed.
When she came down to the kitchen, Alyona was already there, speaking to a young girl who was dressed in housekeepers garb and cooking on the stove. "Смешайте быстрее! Я не наняла тебя за ленивые яйца, Аннет!"
Fleur came down. Her hair was tied in a loose ponytail that fell over her shoulder and she wore a dark blue summer dress. "Is everything alright?"
She squinted, but brightened as Fleur entered, going over to her and brushing her fingers through her granddaughter's hair appreciatively. "Ach. You are so beautiful."
"I wanted to plan perfect breakfast for you and boyfriend," she said, rubbing her temple, "to apologize for bad conversing last night. I have. FAILED."
She blushed, waving her off. "He's not my boyfriend.. And don't worry. I'm sure breakfast will be wonderful."
She sniffled before jerking her head up, looking at her housekeeper. "Annette! You are burning the eggs!"
