“Yeah, I’m great,” he said, pulling away from her slightly. “Why didn’t you go get dinner with that guy? He certainly would’ve been happy to have you.”
He exhaled slightly. “Nothing. Don’t worry about it,” he replied, his tone softer, but sounding more resigned. “Do you want to go down to the lobby?”
He looked down at her, hesitating. “Well, we can go look around town first if you’d like... I don’t have any other plans...”
He laughed out loud, ruffling her hair. “I wasn’t gonna leave you to all your adoring fans, Princess. Don’t worry.”
