He watched her for a moment before setting down the picnic basket. "We come from such different places, Fleur."
"It's just... if we're thinking about this seriously, which..." He suddenly paused, looking embarrassed. "Maybe we're not on the same page."
He relaxed, his hands on his hips. "I mean... I want this to be equal, you know? You and I. And with our differences in status, it just... it won't be."
"Because I don't want to be some leech, Fleur," he said, raising an eyebrow. "And I'm sending everything I can to Alyssa. Everything. That's not right."
He exhaled, slumping a little. "I steal for a living. That's another thing. Your reputation is less because I'm around."
