Her hands were folded and she had a sort of melancholic expression. "You seemed.. unsure.. If we should be together. I just want you to be sure. I am afraid of getting hurt, Ferris, if I'm being honest with you. I want you to be sure that bringing me is right."
His face fell and he studied her for a moment before looking down at the ground. "I'm not sure," he replied honestly. "I've told you that since the beginning, Fleur. If that's putting you off, then maybe I should go alone."
She sighed slowly, coming close and resting her forehead against his chest. "Oh, Ferris.. You've really got my heart in a twist."
He shuddered a little, his shoulders slumping in something adjacent to relief, and he embraced her, cupping the back of her head gently. "I'm sorry, Fleur. I'm sorry."
She hugged him, keeping him close for a moment before looking up at him, taking his face in her hands. "You don't have to apologize for being you."
He watched her, his eyes clear and focused as he considered her. There was a moment where he leaned forward, his lips mere centimeters from hers before he pulled back. "I have to apologize for making you feel unwelcome," he replied lowly. "I want you so badly, Fleur, I can't even... I can't even express it. You're going to have to forgive me for keeping my distance. I think..." He laughed a little, shaking his head. "I think you might be particularly dangerous for me."
He frowned, shaking his head a little. "I just... I've never felt this way about anyone. And that's terrifying."
He watched her, his face soft before he straightened up, ruffling her hair. "Have you finished packing?"
