well, this is what I have: it's 3 year old Lenovo 3000 N500 (now called IdeaPad series, so basically it's IdeaPad) works great, 250GB HDD (+ 500GB external HDD I bought extra) nVidia GeForce 9300M GS (with 512MB DDR2 on graphic card) 4GB DDR2 Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 15.4" screen 1.3 Mega Pixel webcam built in.
After my own comp died, I sort of inherited my brother's tower. 2.34 ghz quad-core AMD processor Radeon 4850 HD Pro 6 gigs of Kingston HyperX ram (the only brand my uncle uses) 1.5 TBs of total space, with 2 striped (Raid 0) SSDs for gaming and video production. Mostly hand-me-downs. My uncle wanted to upgrade my computer, but after I quit playing cutting edge graphics games, I opted to upgrade my sound (headphones, amp later) when I got the chance. It's not much, but I can run Vindictus with fairly high graphics and play League of Legends at max settings with 60 FPS since their UI/graphics revamp.
