It's just a fanfiction story and it's fiction it's not related to the show and shouldn't be taken seriously.
At first I thought Pinkie would get on my nerves very quickly... and I was very wrong, she has really grown on me and I love her energy and randomness, its great to see such a busy character that was made so thoughtfully.
I like Pinkie Pie. And you know what else? I really liked her in A Friend in Deed. Okay, excessive-compulsive to a fault there, undeniably so. But when you strive to improve yourself in order to win someone over and indeed achieve that, I have no complaints. I'd say her desire to find a way that pleases everyone beats the heck out of THE 'accept me or go to heck' attitude I see everywhere nowadays. I think it's a good piece of character development and makes her one of the better role models for young girls on the show. That's the key reason why I like Pinkie Pie - she doesn't see everything as a war she has to win.
I know it a fan-based film. It's just going to take me a while to look at Pinkie the same. Pinkie is still my second favorite pony, although she might go to third and Fluttershy will be second. Pinkie use to be my favorite until I start becoming more of a Rainbow Dash fan.
Interesting thing is I find Pinkie funnier and more enjoyable on the actual show after seeing Cupcakes. I am weird like that
It might be because the very first episode I saw on summer 2011 was a Pinkie Pie episode but I've never thought Pinkie was annoying I respect your decision though.
I thought Pinkie was annoying back when this thread started My mentioning that actually started this thread. ...and my opinion still hasn't changed. She's funny at times yes, but too much of her is annoying. And it very rapidly becomes too much.
Rainbow Dash > Pinkie Pie > Everyone else Her immaturity really lightens the mood most of the time. I can't recall any moment where I would consider her annoying.
The difference between medicine and poison is quantity. Personally, I find Pinkie's pinkieness to be adorable and charming, but I agree that it can be irritating if it's cranked up too high (like it is in too many fanfictions).
At first I didn't like her because I thought she was going to be an out-of-control spazz in every episode. Thing is, she has a tendency to grow on you. I was pleased to see that the show creators kept her attitude relatively in check and that she wasn't nearly as annoying as I feared she would be. Her cartoony presence and ability to shatter the 4th wall were what made me love the character. She's a nice throwback to antics that remind me heavily of the Animaniacs, one of my favorite cartoons. I love most of her songs and in many ways I can relate to her silliness. We share a desire to make our friends smile . So yeah, when there is zany Pinkie Pie action being used in moderation, she can be delightfully entertaining. Too much though, and that's when she becomes too explosive for her own good. Heck, her singing caused a war between ponies and buffalo, and her frantic behavior during "Luna Eclipsed" really got irritating to me. Just curious; did anybody else actually scream in terror when she appears inside the bell during "Party of One"? That freaked me out xD I think the cloning incident from season 3 might mellow her out a little since she was exposed to her own zaniness in a way that only her friends could have experienced before. Not that I want her to mellow out completely of course, hehe. A little bit of spastic Pinkie Pie action can go a long way and I'm fine with her the way she is l-)
Correction Tempest Wind, Rainbow Dash > Fluttershy > Pinkie Pie > Everypony else , 2 days ago I would agree with you. OT: I am kind of glad she mellowed out, but I hope she is mixed with both normality and zaniness and it comes at the proper times. But Pinkie is a special pony, that even though she went from favorite, to 2nd, and as of yesterday 3rd, she will always hold a special place to me.... as long as she isn't being her psychotic alter-ego Pinkienema. Keep that Curly hair Pinkie, please!
What about happy Pinkie with straight hair? Oh yeah, and I did just think of 1 episode where Pinkie Pie annoyed me just a little. It was the Nightmare Night episode. I thought she was pretty funny most of the time, but I couldn't help but feel sorry for Luna as a result of Pinkie Pie's actions.
I think pinkie is really nice and all and the hyper attitude is very positive, except the wonderbolt episode in which she was very annoying
I'd say charmingly sweet. IRL, i actually have a very similar personality to Pinkie--crazy, quirky, optimistic, and bouncing off the walls. Not that I don't also have that personality online. :3 Still, out of all the Mane 6, i relate to her most (either her or Twiley). Also, based on unpleasant experiences at elementary school, I kind of have a grudge against the use of the word "annoying" as a derogatory term, so I would never call anypony 'annoying', let alone Pinkie.
I am one of those rare people, but I just do not like Pinkie pie all that much. I feel like I am going to be stoned for saying that! I can't stand her singing. I rarely like when episodes are mainly about her. T____T While she is in a group I find her funny, but otherwise I just.. can't fully enjoy her.
