"Because we're going to Quelien," he said. "Apparently there's quite a party going on there. The crew is excited."
"Are you excited? Because I don't really know what to expect." She ducked under a beam, then looked back at him.
"As you know," he said sternly, "I am not a party person." He shrugged, and then sent her a smile. "But I'm sure it will be fun. I've heard good things."
"I hope so. I'm getting excited thinking about it. I like parties. They're fun, and the best time to steal things because nobody is paying attention."
"I'm going to pretend like I didn't hear that," he said, glancing down at her. "In exchange, I only ask that you don't steal from me."
(She'll steal his heart) "No promises," she said. "But I probably won't. I wouldn't want you to get mad at me."
(She already did.) He grinned at her, nodding appreciatively. "Thank you," he said. "I like my security of person."
(I just choked on my sandwich) "I'm the only one allowed to steal from you, though. Okay? Cause I'll give it back, probably. Other people won't give it back," she said sternly, looking up at him.
"Or you can just let it happen," she suggested. "I mean, technically I've already stolen your coat, so how do you feel about that?"
"How do you think it's hot? I think it's cold. What if it was super cold? How about then?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"But would you ask for it back?" She looked up at him. "Cause if not, then technically I have stolen it, and will probably have to give it back myself since you're too polite."
She stepped above deck, stretching as she finally reached sunlight. "Mm. Fine. Looks like I'm the polite one now."
"The title of 'the Polite One' is one that I have been plagued with my entire life. I'm not miserable to see the end of it."
"I see. 'The Polite One', huh? I thought you'd be more of 'The Worried One', y'know?" She playfully nudged him.
