"Do you want to split up?" he asked. "You go to your room and I'll go to mine and we meet back up at the base of the crow's nest?"
(Zooom) Jack waited by the base of the crow's nest, his hands in his pockets as he leaned against the ropes patiently.
Avice approached him, a smile on her face. She had neatly folded blankets in her arms. "Nice and quick!"
He grinned at her before leaning down to kiss her cheek. "Mine are already up there," he said, glancing up. "Here, I can take those."
She passed them to him, giving thanks. "Hopefully there aren't too many clouds tonight, that way the sky is clear."
He gestured for her to climb the ladder first, slinging the blankets over his shoulder. "Hopefully," he agreed. "But even if they do appear, the ocean itself is pretty remarkable to watch from up here."
She began climbing, her hands steady and quick. " Yeah, but put those two things together and it's the best."
He followed her, blowing his hair out of his eyes as he climbed. "I see your point. We could try blowing air at them to try to get them to evaporate."
She reached the top and hopped into the crows nest, grinning slightly. "Is it? I never learned until just now."
He followed her up. There were already some blankets there that had been dropped haphazardly by Jack, and he settled into the seat next to her. "Well, I've been pirating a little longer than you. Never fear, young grasshopper. You'll learn."
