"It does, though.."
"It's fine," he said, lying back and rubbing Aubrey's back so as to not disturb her.
She frowned, kissing his cheek.
He glanced at her, one eyebrow raised as he pulled up the blankets. "You tired?"
She nodded, bringing the kitten close with a slight frown.
He sighed and pulled the blanket over her as well, closing his eyes afterwards, his brows furrowed.
She moved his free arm gently so that she could move between in, her head on his shoulder.
He sighed, kissing the top of her head slowly.
She smiled slightly. "You're warm."
“Mm. You’re cold.”
She stuck one hand under his shirt to warm it. "Would you sacrifice your warmth for my hands?"
He took a deep breath in surprise. “It seems I don’t have a choice.”
She chuckled. "Sorry."
“What about my hands?”
She looked up at him, an adoring look in her eye. "Aren't they already warm?"
“You’re leeching all my warmth. I’m freezing to death.”
She laughed, wrapping her arms around him. "Let's share, then."
“Thanks,” he said dryly, glancing down at her.
She grinned, reaching up for a kiss.
He kissed her back, his free hand coming up to hold her jaw.
