She pulled away after a moment. "Thanks for keeping me warm."
“Are you leaving me?”
"Never," she replied, kissing his sternum lightly.
He looked down at her, a small smile crossing his face.
She looked up at him with bright eyes. "I promise."
He gave her a small smile, kissing her head. “Good.”
She sighed, resting her head on him again.
“Sleep. Okay? Sleep.”
She nodded, shutting her eyes.
He rubbed her back, saying nothing.
She drifted off, her arms loosening around him.
He followed, his eyes fluttering closed.

Avice was asleep, her face buried in his side.
His chest rose and fell with his breaths.
Her eyes fluttered open, and she shifted, turning to look around sleepily.
He mumbled, stretching out in his sleep.
She rested her head again, relaxing.
He mumbled, turning his head towards her.
