She ran her hand through his hair, her touch warm.
He stretched out comfortably, pulling her closer as he exhaled slowly.
She shut her eyes, yawning.
“You’re so beautiful,” he murmured quietly in her ear.
She flushed, turning her head slightly. "You're sweet."
“No, but seriously, Av. You’re really, really beautiful.”
She smiled slightly. "Thank you."
He kissed her cheek before going quiet, closing his eyes.
She quieted too, kissing his temple.
He fell asleep surprisingly quickly, resting his head in the curve of her neck.
She kept close, staying awake.

Jack awoke some time later his eyes fluttering.
Avice was playing with his hair, unaware he woke.
He glanced up at her quietly. “What are you doing?0
She jumped, pulling her hands back quickly. "Oh, jesus. You're awake."
"Mm," he murmured with a chuckle. "Didn't expect that, did you?"
"No. I didn't."
“What were you doing?”
