"Oh, stop that." She went to work on the surprise, shaking her head.
He leaned back, looking up at the ceiling dully.
There was silence before a heavy sigh. "You can come help me, I guess."
He brightened, sitting up. "Really?"
"I suppose."
He brightened, going into the kitchen.
There were multiple ingredients set out, and it would become clear what she was making.
He blinked before looking at her, a small smile crossing his face. "Pie?"
She crossed her arms. "Yup."
He grinned, coming over to her and kissing her deeply, his hand on her jaw.
She faltered, kissing him back.
He pulled away after a moment, slightly breathless. "I love you."
She smiled, her hand on his neck. "I love you too."
He grinned, kissing the tip of her nose.
She sighed warmly before turning back to the food. "I was just making the crust.."
"How often do you make pies?"
"Very rare."
"You're so sweet," he murmured in her ear, pulling her close.
She flushed, shaking her head. "It's an apple pie, if that's alright."
"That's perfect," he murmured, kissing her jaw.
