He pretended to think about it. "Hm. I suppose I do." He gave her a quick peck. "Don't tell anyone, though."
He laughed deeply, brushing the hair out of her face. "Hm. I don't think I can keep it a secret for too long."
"I knew it," she said with a grin, tilting her head as she watched him thoughtfully. "You know," she began, her words slow, "sometimes I just think about the situation and how lucky I am and I get ecstatic all over again."
He laughed, and held her jaw in his hand. His fingers were warm and sure, and he kissed her deeply. "I never... I mean, I never thought you would like me. I liked you so much all these years, and I just had to settle for small conversations and inside jokes."
He leaned in and kissed her jawline. "Of course I waited," he murmured. "It's you, Avice. It's always been you."
Her hands lightly touched the back of his neck, and she smiled. "I'm glad I'm yours," she murmured into his ear, her voice soft.
She paused for a moment, almost like she was processing. After a moment, she shook her head. "Gah.. You're too amazing."
