He dodged it easily before reaching for the rapier with a grin. "Let's just stick with the rapier for now, huh?"
"Mm. That's unfortunate." She smiled before hesitating, her hand reaching back as she frowned. "Is there an infirmary?"
He didn't notice her actions at first, laughing slightly as he cleaned off his blade. "Don't worry, Rohesia. I don't plan to hurt you during this..." He trailed off as he looked up, a frown crossing his lips. "Hey, you okay?"
He lifted his hands in surrender, backing away. "I don't have to. It's not a big deal, though. You should see what some people do out here when they've had too much to drink."
She did so, revealing that her back had been bandaged but was bleeding through. The bandages looked as if they had been done quickly, pressed for time.
His brows furrowed and she would hear him take a deep breath. “Oh, Rohesia,” he said quietly. His voice was an intriguing mixture of emotions. He didn’t sound as if he pitied her or condescend her. It was the voice of someone who had seen this before and was disappointed to see it on another. It was the voice of regret and solemnity. “You were involved in some deep *squee!*, huh?”
“Yeah, I know,” he replied quietly. He pulled the shirt down quickly and offered her an arm. “C’mon. I’ll take you to the infirmary.”
