The girl with the white teeth laughed deeply at something Jack was saying, taking his hand as they walked across the deck.
Avice and Dante were by the railing, watching the water and talking. Avice glanced over, pausing for a moment before slowly finishing her sentence.
She pulled away, taking his hand with a small sigh and just watching the water. He put an arm around her gently.
Avice sat beside him wordlessly, simply resting her head on her hand and watching him with a raised eyebrow.
“Well, I would have told you, but you’ve been spending so much time with Dante that I didn’t get the chance.”
