"Well," she began, drawing the word out. "I'm not, really. It's just that, I only want to do it when the time is right, but I don't think the time will ever be right." She crossed her arms. "That, and I would think husband and wife is just a title. It doesn't change anything."
"I agree," he said. "I feel like you shouldn't need a paper or a ceremony to be truly committed to someone."
"Yeah. I feel like it'd be kinda awkward, too. I wouldn't know, though. I never even planned on getting close enough to marry someone. Only, like, being together and that's it."
He kissed her cheek. "I think it's just a matter of doing what feels right," he said thoughtfully. "If you feel like your relationship needs marriage, then get married."
"If your love was that fragile," he said snootily, "I'm not sure I would have wanted it in the first place."
