Jack sat down on the sand, yawning slightly.
Avice stood, her hands on her hips before walking to the water, looking around.
Aubrey stood next to her, looking out to the water. "Mama, can you swim?"
Avice looked down her. "I can. Not very well, though."
She slipped her hand into hers, looking across the water. "What about Papa?"
"I think so. It's been awhile since I tested that theory."
Aubrey seemed confused by her words, frowning.
She looked down at her with a small smile. "I think he can."
She relaxed. “And Aunt Nat?”
"Yeah, probably. Aunt Nat is really smart."
"She laughs when I toot."
Avice laughed. "Oh.."
"Can I swim?"
"Not yet. I'd ask Papa to teach you.
"Is it hard?"
"A little bit, at first."
"Can you learn to breathe underwater?"
"Unfortunately, no."
