She sighed, resting her head on his shoulder. "Aubrey and Natalia have been visiting sirens, I guess."
He was quiet for a moment before shaking his head. "I didn't know, but I suspected she was probably introducing her to different creatures."
"I figured," he said with a sigh, rubbing her back. "When did you learn about them? Like, really learn. Not about how dangerous they are, but you got an in-depth analysis of their lives?"
"I haven't. I never bothered to. I didn't want anything to do with them because I hated them so much. However, this doesn't mean I'm going to make Aubrey stop learning."
"She probably didn't think you'd take it well," he said casually. "She tends to think she knows best."
