Pirates! (One-on-One)

He paused for a moment before giving her a cocky grin.

"I know."

 

He laughed, ducking his head.

"I love you too."

 

They got onto shore and he rubbed his hands.

 

He followed, rubbing her back.

"Get the sirens out of your head, okay?"

 

"It's your birthday."

 

“You can’t be anything other than happy on your birthday.”

 

"The museum we're going to see," he said, reaching for her hand, "features a mixture of local artists and works from the masters."

 

He gave her a small smile.

"Do you know someone named... Manet?"

 

"Yeah," he said, looking innocent. "Apparently they have some paintings by this nobody named Manet."

 

He grinned, kissing her hair.

"We're going to go see Manet. Is that okay?"
