"Mmhm. Makes you think, huh?"
"Well, thank you."
"Of course, Av."
She kissed his cheek, resting her head on his shoulder.
He tapped some frosting on her nose.
She grinned, wiping it off and tasting it.
He kissed the tip of her nose before returning to his cake.
She smiled slightly, doing the same.
He finished his cake and took her plate. "You don't want another slice, right?"
"No, I'm okay. Thank you."
He kissed the top of her head before heading for the sink.
She smiled warmly, standing up.
"Do you want to do anything tonight?" he asked, glancing at her.
She came to him, resting her head against his back. "Like what?"
“I don’t know. Midnight walk?”
She nodded slowly. "I'd like that. What about the kids?"
"They're asleep. They'll be okay."
She nodded, wrapping her arms around him. "Let's go on a walk."
He kissed the top of her head. "Good. Let's go."
She pulled away, taking his hand.
